The Altoona Area Junior High School Drama Club is excited to present the wildly entertaining musical Beetlejuice Jr. this March in the AAJHS Auditorium. Performances will be held on Thursday, March 5th and Friday, March 6th at 7:00 p.m., with a Saturday matinee on March 7th at 1:00 p.m. A special Senior Citizen Preview will take place on Wednesday, March 4th at 7:00 p.m. All performances will be held in the AAJHS Auditorium.
Based on the hit Broadway musical and the beloved Tim Burton film, Beetlejuice Jr. follows Lydia Deetz, a bright and unconventional teenager who is fascinated by the strange and unusual. After her family moves into a new home, Lydia encounters a recently deceased couple who are struggling to adjust to the afterlife - and a mischievous, unpredictable character named Beetlejuice who is determined to cause chaos. What unfolds is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud adventure filled with quirky characters, heartfelt moments, and show-stopping musical numbers. At its core, the story explores themes of belonging, grief, family, and the importance of being true to yourself.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students, sold at the door. Doors open 30 minutes prior to each performance. Join us for a hilarious, and high-energy production showcasing the incredible talent and creativity of close to 90 AAJHS students - this is one show you won’t want to miss!
