Welcome! My name is Julie Storm and I have been teaching in the AASD for 20+ years. I am a proud Altoona Mountain Lion class of 1999 and a Clarion University Golden Eagle class of 2003. I received my Master's of Education from Saint Francis University. Teaching has always been in my blood. My mother is a retired English teacher and she is the spark that ignited my teaching fire. I started my teaching career as a Keith Ram teaching 7th and 8th grade reading. I made the move to the new junior high school teaching 8th grade reading. I was fortunate to become the ELA department chairperson in 2009. In 2012, I was given the opportunity to leave the classroom to become an instructional coach for the junior high school. In 2021, I moved back into the classroom full-time and I am loving every minute. I have been very lucky to be able to share my love of twirling by coaching the junior high majorette squad. When I am not a school, I love spending time with my children, Reese, Makenna and Chase and our dog, Rosie.
