AAJHS Summer School

 

Summer School Guidelines for 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Students

 
The need for summer school is determined by final grades in core subjects (6th-ELA, Math, Science, History/7th ELA, Math, Science, Geography/8th-English, Reading, Math, Science, American Cultures.)  Any final grade below 69% is a failing.
 
If students fail 1 core subject - Summer school is not required.
 
If students are failing 2 or 3 core subjects - Summer School is required.  For those who do not attend summer school or do not pass summer school, students will not be promoted to the next grade.
 
If a student fails 4 or 5 core subjects they will not be promoted to the next grade.

Student must attend all summer school dates:
6/10/2024 - 6/28/2024
8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
 
COST:  $75
 
OUT OF DISTRICT:  $15
 
REGISTRATION: MAIN OFFICE BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:30 A.M. AND 3:00 P.M. (closed 12:00-1:00 for lunch)

The last day to register for summer school will be Friday, June 7th. Please contact your child’s counselor if you have any questions or concerns.
