9/16-9/18: Any student interested in joining Book Club please attend a brief information meeting after school this Thursday, September 18 from 2:45- 3:00 in Mrs. Loucks's office on the 3rd floor, room 434. If you need a ride please be sure it is here by 3:00. If you cannot attend, but have an interest please stop by her room and grab information.
9/17: The girls volleyball team swept Central Mountain yesterday by scores of 25-19, 25-12 in the A game, and 25-10, 25-15 in the B game. Brynn Daniel led the A team in service points, while Hailey Camberg led the B team.
9/17: "In football action, the 7th grade football team was on the road at rival State College. The Mountain Lions were down 8 - 0 early. The Little Lions responded back with two touchdowns of their own to go up 20-8 at the half. The Mountain Lions came storming out of the half with a touchdown. It was a hard fought game and in the end the Mountain Lions came up short with a final score of 20 - 16. The 7th grade team is in action again next Tuesday afternoon in a home game against Williamsport."
9/17: Yesterday, the Lady Lion soccer team lost to Conemaugh Township 2-1. Conemaugh Township started off really strong and scored 2 goals in the first half putting the girls in a hole going into the second half. The Lady Lions played a much better second half and got the lead to 1. Unfortunately, the girls were unable to find the back of the net the rest of the game and lost 2-1.
On Monday, the girls traveled to Spring Cove and defeated the Lady Dragons 6-1.
The girls record is now 4-2-1 and will play Park Forest on Thursday at home. They hope to see you at the Roosevelt Field!
9/17: MANSION PARK STADIUM FOOTBALL SPECTATOR GUIDELINES In order to
maintain a safe, orderly and enjoyable atmosphere for all those attending Mt. Lion
football games, the following guidelines will be followed for students/spectators entering
Mansion Park Stadium. These rules and procedures will be enforced at all times in
in order to keep our fans safe and students well supervised.
-All students and accompanying parents/guardians are required to use the
designated student entry at the Main Gate of the stadium.
-Students in grades K-5 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or
responsible adult for the entirety of the game.
-All students in grades 6-8 are required to present a school-issued ID (or
temporary ID) and be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible
adult.
-Students are required to sit in the Home stands. Students are encouraged to sit
in the designated Mt. Lion Maniacs student section or with their parents or
guardians for the entirety of the game.
-Parents are responsible for their student’s behavior.
-All students in grades 9-12 are required to present a school-issued ID and be
accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult. They must sit in the
Home stands. Students are encouraged to sit in the designated Mt. Lion
Maniacs student section with the Junior High Students or with their parents or
guardians for the entirety of the game.
-NO BACKPACKS will be permitted in the stadium. All bags and belongings are
subject to search and seizure.
-No loitering is permitted. Students/Spectators must sit in the stands. Aisles must
be kept clear at all times. Congregating under the bleachers or around the
concession areas will not be permitted. Standing along the field fence during
the game is prohibited.
-There will be no walking around the outside of the field during the football game.
-Students/Spectators who throw food, drink, or other items will be immediately
escorted from the stadium, will not be permitted re-admittance, and may be
banned from the stadium for the remainder of the school year.
-Students/Spectators who refuse to comply with stadium officials’ directions will
be immediately escorted from the stadium, will not be allowed re-admittance,
and may be banned from the stadium for the remainder of the year.
