Welcome to Art!

I am Mrs. Sara O’Roark and I am looking forward to providing your child with an art experience that I hope they will enjoy, regardless of their interest in art or artistic ability. I strongly feel that art education is a vital part of the school day, by not only allowing students to explore their creative abilities but also learning how art is about the human experience. With this thought in mind, students can learn about the world and the people that inhabit it through exploring a variety of artworks from the past and present. In addition, students can learn about themselves through the process of the creation of their own work.  It is my hope that by the end of their short art experience in my classroom, students will have a new appreciation and understanding of art.
