My name is Julie Storm and I have been teaching in the AASD for 14 years. I am a proud Altoona Mountain Lion class of 1999 and a Clarion University Golden Eagle class of 2003. Teaching has always been in my blood. My mother is a retired English teacher and she is the spark that ignited my teaching fire. I started my teaching career as a Keith Ram teaching 7th and 8th grade reading. I made the move to the new junior high school teaching 8th grade reading. I was fortunate to become the reading, family and consumer sciences and art departments' department chairperson in 2009. In 2012, I was given the opportunity to leave the classroom to become an instructional coach for the junior high school. I have been very lucky to be able to share my love of twirling by coaching the junior varsity and varsity junior high majorette squads. When I am not a school, I love spending time with my husband, Christopher; and my children, Reese, Makenna and Chase.
