Altoona Area School District Library Mission Statement

The Altoona Area School District Libraries are an essential and central hub that empowers our students and faculty. As an integral part of the school community, the library provides resources, services, and programming that support the academic, personal, and professional growth of all who enter. Our mission is to cultivate a love of learning, encourage intellectual curiosity, and equip our students with the skills to succeed in college or career.

The AAJHS Scholastic Book Fair will be held Dec. 11 - 17 with a make up day on Dec. 18.  Online ordering will be available Dec. 11- 24!  Click the link to view the fair flyer, add money to your student's eWallet, or place your online order starting Dec. 11. 

 

8th Graders complete a Fiction Genre Challenge in the library.  Students were taught the difference between several fiction types and then identified them within real literature.
