When completing assignments that must be typed, we use Googledocs, an Internet site that allows students to create typed documents.
Googledocs is very similar to Microsoft Word, but because it’s an Internet site, it can be accessed anywhere!!! (Including at home or even on your smart phone!)
Googledocs works best if student’s access it using Google Chrome.
The Altoona Area Junior High School created a Googledocs account for every student when they entered 7th grade. So every student has a specific USERNAME that they must use each time they log in.
There’s a formula that students follow to figure out their username. The formula is as follows:
The student’s first name, followed by a period followed by
The student’s last name, followed by
The LAST TWO digits of the student’s ID number, followed by
@, followed by
altoonastudent.com
For example if the student is Pamela Marie Davis with an ID # of 123456, her username would be [email protected]
Students must create a password for the site. Team 3 teachers require that their students’ passwords follow the following formula:
